     When you become an affiliate of a company, you typically receive a personalized Affiliate Link from the company for you to use in your own advertising. Most of the time these links are long and cumbersome.

     There are also folks out there who will steal your marketing by hijacking your affiliate link and placing their own id's in place of yours.

 It's also difficult to track your marketing results using just one url.
